On 13th June 2026, Braeburn Garden Estate School came alive with music, movement and excitement as children, parents, teachers and dance enthusiasts gathered for the Stage Dance Festival 2nd Edition. More than just a dance festival, the event celebrated creativity, confidence and the power of the performing arts to inspire young people. From the moment the first performers stepped onto the stage, the audience was captivated by the energy, passion and talent displayed throughout the day.
The festival was organized through the collaboration of Lost State of Mind, Taa Arts Organization and Balasi Arts Gems with the generous support of our partners, Java House and Indomie. Their contribution played a significant role in creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone in attendance.
Throughout the day, children from different schools and dance groups showcased their talents through contemporary, ballet, modern and traditional dance performances. Every performance reflected months of preparation, discipline and teamwork, leaving the audience inspired and entertained. Parents, teachers and guests responded with enthusiastic applause and encouragement, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere that boosted the confidence of every young performer. Beyond the stage, families had the opportunity to connect and enjoy refreshments provided by vendors, making the festival a wholesome and engaging community event.
The festival successfully achieved its objective of providing children with a platform to express themselves through dance while promoting creativity, confidence, collaboration and personal growth. It brought together participants from diverse backgrounds, strengthened community appreciation for the performing arts and created lasting memories for the children and their families. To recognize the hard work and dedication of every participant, the top three performers in each category were awarded trophies while all participants received certificates of participation. This recognition celebrated excellence while encouraging every child to continue pursuing their passion for dance.
The success of the festival was made possible through the dedication of the organizing committee, volunteers, teachers, parents and partners who worked tirelessly to ensure the event ran smoothly. While the festival was largely successful, a few challenges were experienced. The late arrival of some participating schools caused a slight delay to the programme, and minor technical issues with the sound system and stage setup required quick adjustments. Thanks to the commitment and teamwork of the organizing team, these challenges were addressed promptly with minimal disruption to the event.
The experience provided valuable lessons for future editions of the festival. Allocating additional rehearsal time, conducting comprehensive technical checks before the event, expanding community outreach and increasing volunteer support will further enhance the quality and impact of future festivals.
Overall, the Stage Dance Festival 2nd Edition was more than a showcase of dance—it was a celebration of talent, resilience, creativity and community. Every performance, every smile and every round of applause reflected the festival's mission of empowering children through the arts. We are deeply grateful to all the performers, parents, teachers, volunteers, partners and supporters whose dedication and commitment made the festival a remarkable success. The event has laid a strong foundation for future editions and reaffirmed the importance of creating opportunities for children to learn, grow and express themselves through the performing arts.
